The University of Florida Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is pleased to announce the launch of the 30th research database for live data capture (with 60 additional projects under development) and the establishment of a configuration service for users of the REDCap system.

REDCap is a secure, Web-based platform that provides a streamlined process for rapidly developing databases. The system supports the use of branching logic, calculated fields, and automated data validation. Other features include seamless data export to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, and ad hoc report generation tools.

All UF investigators can use REDCap at no cost for any research project. Our new configuration service offers a low-cost alternative to taking on the task of learning REDCap configuration. Using the service, UF researchers and external clients can obtain professional project development at a fraction of commercial costs.
