VA Research Day, May 16: Caring for Veterans through Discovery and Collaboration

As part of National VA Research Week, the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center is hosting a Research Day on May 16, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the VA auditorium at 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, Fla.

This year’s theme is “VA Research: Caring for Veterans through Discovery and Collaboration.” Free and open to the public, the event program includes:

8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Meet and Greet
9 a.m. to Noon Speakers
1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Open House

Featured topics include obesity and type two diabetes, stroke, women’s health, research collaboration with the University of Florida and the Million Veteran Program. The Navy Band Southeast A Cappella Vocal Quartet will perform during the open house.
