Visiting us at the UF Health Science Center

The UF CTSI Home is located in the UF Health Science Center. If you have not visited us previously and/or are unfamiliar with the UF Health Science Center, leave some extra time to find your way. The UF Health Science Center is very large.

Flying to Gainesville

Gainesville is served by three airports. The Gainesville airport (8 miles) provides regional services. Jacksonville International airport (85 miles) has direct flights to many US locations. Orlando airport (109 miles) has additional flight options.

Driving Directions to the UF Health Science Center

From I-75, Exit #384 (State Road 24/Archer Road)

  1. East on Archer Road for 2.9 miles to Center Drive.
  2. Turn left onto Center Drive for one block to Mowry Road.
  3. Turn left on Mowry Road for 1 block.
  4. Turn left into Visitor’s Parking garage.

From US 441 (13th Street)

  1. Turn west on Archer Road for 1/2 mile to Center Drive.
  2. Turn right onto Center Drive for one block to Mowry Road.
  3. Turn left on Mowry Road for 1 block.
  4. Turn left into Visitor’s Parking garage.

From State Road 24 (Waldo Road)

  1. South on SR 24 to University Avenue (SR 26).
  2. Right on University Avenue for 1.7 miles to US 441 (13th Street).
  3. Left on US 441 for 3/4 mile to Archer Road
  4. Right on Archer Road for 1/2 mile to Center Drive.
  5. Turn right onto Center Drive for one block to Mowry Road.
  6. Turn left on Mowry Road for 1 block.
  7. Turn left into Visitor’s Parking garage.

From the Gainesville Regional Airport

  1. Exit the airport drive.
  2. Right on SR 222 (39th Avenue) for 4 miles to US 441 (13th Street).
  3. Left on US 441 for 3 1/2 miles to Archer Road.
  4. Right on Archer Road for 1/2 mile to Center Drive.
  5. Turn right onto Center Drive for one block to Mowry Road.
  6. Turn left on Mowry Road for 1 block.
  7. Turn left into Visitor’s Parking garage.


Parking

Visitor parking is available in the Visitor’s parking garage atop the west garage. From the west garage, you will enter through the dental tower, proceed to the hospital atrium, take a left and the CTSI is straight ahead.

Staff parking around the Health Science Center is limited. Service drive parking is available in the dirt lot to the east of the HPNP building. The University of Florida Parking Map shows spaces and restrictions on campus.

Staying in Gainesville

Gainesville has many options for lodging. The Reitz Union Hotel is on campus and is less than half a mile from the Health Science Center. The Hilton University of Florida (3 miles) and the Laurel Oak Inn (2 miles) are popular places to stay.
