The purpose of this committee is to:

• Oversee the overall operation of the UF Clinical Research Center (CRC)
• Assess the needs of the CRC investigators and ensure optimal use of available resources
• Set priorities based on the scientific merit of the proposed investigation and need for CRC resources
• Formally review research protocols. Provide a detailed written scientific critique and final decision for each applicant investigator, incorporating detailed, written evaluations

Representatives include:

• Chair, N. Lawrence Edwards, MD, Professor of Medicine
• Cross-section of UF basic and clinical science faculty
• UF CRC Managers

The UF CRC Scientific Advisory Committee meets monthly.
