Metabolomics Core

Bruker Apex II FICTR

Bruker APEX II FTICR This instrument is available for measurements that require very high mass resolution. Please contact Dr. David Powell for availability.

Part of the Southeast Center for Integrated Metabolomics, this facility is located in Rooms 101 and 102 of the Chemistry Laboratory Building on Buckman Drive.

Some of the services provided include accurate mass determination, structure elucidation, and identification of novel compounds, using both low and high resolution experiments, as well as tandem mass spectrometry techniques.

Three Ph.D. level mass spectroscopists, with a combined experience of over sixty years, analyze samples together with two graduate assistants. In addition, several
chemistry graduate students develop methods in mass spectrometry as a part of their academic research.

Please contact Dr. David H. Powell or any of our personnel for any inquiry regarding MS analysis.
