Congratulations to Brittany Lee-McMullen for receiving the Pre-Doctoral Trainee Oral Presentation Award at the Translational Science 2014 conference!

The award recognizes Lee-McMullen’s research presentation titled, “Metabolomic Analysis for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.” A CTSI TL1 Scholar and graduate student in the UF College of Medicine Department of Physiology and Functional Genomics, Lee-McMullen uses metabolomics to search for biomarkers of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in ImagingDMD, a large project directed by Dr. Krista Vandenborne of UF’s Department of Physical Therapy.

Lee-McMullen is co-mentored by Drs. Glenn Walter and Art Edison of the CTSI’s Southeast Center for Integrated Metabolomics, and Dr. Vandenborne serves as her clinical mentor.
