The UF Health Cancer Center invites applications for its Bridge Grants (due Oct. 1), Collaborative Cancer-Related Seed Grants (LOIs due Oct. 15), and Pilot Project Awards (LOIs due Nov. 7). Basic, clinical and population research projects are encouraged to apply. For all mechanisms, principal investigators must be full-time faculty members and if not already a UF Health Cancer Center member, then s/he must apply for membership before funding is released.
Bridge Grants Program
The intent of this grant mechanism is to provide interim support for existing investigator-initiated, cancer-related research projects that have been highly rated by national panels of peer reviewers in recent federal competitions but were not funded.

Collaborative Cancer-Related Seed Grants
This new seed grant program is intended to foster collaborations between UF Health Cancer Center (UFHCC), UFHCC-Orlando Health and UF Proton Therapy Institute cancer researchers.
- Award Amount – Up to $70,000 direct cost each
- Award Period – One year
- Deadlines – Two-page letters of intent are due Oct. 15, 2014, with invited applications due Nov. 21, 2014.

Pilot Project Awards
The intent of this grant mechanism is to provide developmental support for promising investigator-initiated, cancer-related research projects that propose innovative research across multiple disciplines for a better understanding of the biology, etiology, detection, prevention, treatment and control of cancer.
- Award Amount – Up to $60,000 direct cost each
- Award Period – One year
- Deadlines – Letters of intent are due Nov. 7, 2014. Full proposals are due Dec. 14, 2014.
