Janice Krieger, director of the University of Florida STEM Translational Communication Center and a team of researchers have been awarded a $3.04 million, five-year grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to test the efficiency of using virtual technology to increase colorectal cancer screening among rural and minority patients.

Krieger also co-directs the CTSI Recruitment Center.

This is one of the largest grants ever received by a College of Journalism and Communications faculty member.
