HealthStreet is an innovative community engagement program at the University of Florida that improves the health of our community by bridging gaps in health care and health research.
Led by Dr. Linda Cottler, chair of the UF Department of Epidemiology and co-director of the CTSI Community Engagement and Research Program, HealthStreet has a team of community health workers who go out into the community to interview Northeast Florida residents about their health concerns and connect them to opportunities to participate in research as well as medical and social services.
HealthStreet has a database of more than 8,000 people who are interested in participating in research.
