UF Research Resource Catalog

Background

The University of Florida has hundreds of research resources that are often described in grant proposals. Grant writers and investigators do not have a collection of high-quality (accurate, thorough, timely) descriptions of research resources to be used in their proposals. The result is uneven descriptions of university research resources. In today’s competitive grant proposal climate, it is critical that investigators have easy-to-find, high-quality descriptions of research resources.

Goals and Objectives

  1. Create a research resource catalog of descriptions of research resources that can be used by grant writers and investigators
  2. Create and establish an ongoing process for maintaining the catalog

Impact

All university investigators and grant writers will benefit from this new resource providing a comprehensive collection of grant text ready to be used in proposals.

Timeline

The catalog is expected to be ready for use in the summer of 2013.
