SUMMARY:UF CTSI Learning Health System Research Day
DESCRIPTION:Event: Learning Health System Research Day\n\nTime: 9AM –
1PM\n\nLocation: CTRB Lobby and 2nd Floor Conference Room \n\n
  \n\nAgenda and more details coming soon!\n\n \n\n \n \n \n
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS \n \n The UF CTSI Learning Health System
Program is hosting its first Research Day and Poster Session to
recognize and celebrate the multidisciplinary research\, quality
  improvement\, and implementation efforts of students\, trainees\,
faculty\, and staff across the UF Health Science Center. We invite you
to submit an abstract to showcase work highlighting the integration of
research data and evidence-based practices in health systems. We
welcome submissions on a variety of topics\, including: \nimplementation
  science\nquality improvement\nuse of AI in healthcare\nelectronic health
  records\ntelehealth\npragmatic clinical trials\ncomparative
effectiveness research\nsocial determinants of health\n Trainee prizes
will be awarded. Faculty and staff are invited to submit an abstract to
showcase current research and advances\, however\, faculty and staff
posters will not be judged. This will be an in-person event! Limit one
poster per presenter. If you have any questions\, please reach out to
  Jacqueline De La Cruz @ delacruz.j@ufl.edu. \n \n \nSUBMIT

  \n\nSteve L Bernstein\, MD\n\nJeremiah R Brown\, PhD\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n
  \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nDr. Bernstein is the Chief Research
Officer at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Senior Associate Dean
of Clinical and Translational Research at the Geisel School of Medicine
at Dartmouth. Dr. Bernstein pioneered the treatment of tobacco
dependence in ED patients\, and has identified specific pharmacologic
and behavioral interventions that are efficacious. His interests are in
the treatment of tobacco dependence in various clinical settings\,
implementation science\, and training junior investigators.\n\nDr.
Jeremiah Brown is a tenured professor of Epidemiology\, Biomedical Data
Science\, and Health Policy and Clinical Practice at The Geisel School
of Medicine at Dartmouth. He has received multiple R01s from NHLBI\,
NIDDK\, and NIAID to develop and implement evidence-based interventions
for infections\, kidney injury\, and hospitalization. Dr. Brown is
interested in disseminating novel implementation methods and findings to
fields with unmet need in complex trial design\, including\, but not
  limited to engineering\, management\, and policy. \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n
  \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nAbout Learning Health Systems\n\n \n\n \n\n
\n\n \n\nLearning Health Systems systematically gather and create
evidence and apply the most promising evidence to improve care
practices. As a result\, health care systems can deliver higher
quality\, safer\, and more efficient care to their patients\, and become
better places to work.\n\n \n\nThe Learning Health System Initiative
works collaboratively with the UF CTSI’s research partners to align
  science\, informatics\, incentives\, care partners\, and culture for
continuous improvement and innovation in health care delivery.\n\n \n\n
  \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nQuestions & Comments\n\n \n\n
\n\n \n\n \n\nFor questions about the UF CTSI Learning Health System
  Initiative\, \n\nemail Jacqueline De La Cruz at delacruz.j@ufl.edu. \n\n
