HealthStreet Moves to New Location: On Oct. 8, 2012, HealthStreet moved to its new location at 2401 Archer Road, Gainesville, Fla., 32608. The new site can be reached by turning on SW 23rd Drive off Archer Road (near The Bartram). There is free parking for guests. The new site is also accessible by RTS bus routes 1, 12, 35 and 38 and the SHANDS Shuttle.
Led by Dr. Linda Cottler, chair of the UF Department of Epidemiology and co-director of the CTSI Community Engagement and Research Program, HealthStreet has a team of community health workers who go out into the community to interview Alachua County residents about their health concerns and connect them to opportunities to participate in research as well as medical and social services.
